I have no really functional stand alone Linux box. Or more correctly I have a Linux box that I still wish to make functional. I will see how many of these ideas exists here at shellworld. Still, I found an amazing way to convert which surprised me. If you have access to the lynx browser, and have a gmail account, google will automatically convert the pdf files into html. so I have for example mailed myself one of the pdf files containing the PowerPoint files. and I am present in lynx with the "view as html." While I am not sure how full proof this would be with something more complex, it is doing the job so far for me. In act I just scored a 100 on my first class exam smiles. Thanks again, Kare On Sat, 17 May 2014, Jason White wrote: > Christopher Chaltain wrote: >> There's also pdftohtml and pdftotext. > > If you can get the original files (much better for accessibility purposes), > they can be converted to HTML with LibreOffice: > loffice --headless --convert-to html filenames > > > _______________________________________________ > Blinux-list mailing list > Blinux-list@redhat.com > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list > >
