The directory path uses (/) characters and you need to do (\/) for each of
them to have them saved in any environment variable. I put mine in
/src/master and then created the directory. Good to keep CVS stuff
separated in its own directory hierarchy.

Under bash you can put this in /etc/profile: export CVSROOT=\/src\/master
<cr> then save the file and test by typing: echo $CVSROOT <cr>. If you
read the path you just put in that variable you're golden.

Has anyone managed to get that working? I couldn't find the cvsinit
script though I did get the cVSROOT variable set. I'd like to get that
system up enough so it can be useful for checking out files then maybe use
it for revision control on my system as an overall security tool.
