Exactly, that's the point I was making.  You may need to get a sound card
working so that SpeakFreely will work but we do use text chat too on the
reflector, thus you'd be able to participate.  I have brltty installed and
when my sound card decided to give up, well it was my newly compiled kernel,
I could still use my Braille display.

Thanks for the invitation to the speakup list. However, i am deaf and don't
understand speech, so I'm sticking with Braille. I like Braille better
anyway.
