Hi,

I have Lenovo Thinkpad x131e. It has Broadcom drivers. Only Ubuntu has
some Broadcom 802 from bcm kernel drivers under additional drivers tab.
Did you have some experiences installing these drivers under Fedora? I
have usb hotspot, so I can install it with my mobile. At this time, I
will to try find something on Google again, but if someone can help

Thanks,
Pavel

It works well.

I also have usb wifi adapter, but it has drivers on cd. And of course, I
lost the cd, but maybe I will buy some new device, which does not need a
cd to install.

Perhaps you should try plugging it in. With any luck you may have USB
Wifi with Atheros chip which are supported out of the box on most linux distro.

If you was user of Debian I could help but Fedora I don't know. You
should probably ask this question on a Fedora forum or mailing list.

Best regards,
Alex.

Hi,

I haven't used Broadcom WiFi since me, Fedora and my trustworthy MacBook parted. That's quite a few years ago. If my memory serves correctly I needed to load proprietary binary blobs (aka firmware) to the card.

Now the question is which model your WiFi is? They are not all the same.

Please use lspci on the command line to identify the model. You can get the needed blob from your vendor driver.

Also since this is not blinux specific topic please consider using Fedora community help. You could start with http://ask.fedoraproject.org

Regards,
Birdie
