I would like to reduce the bass and/or increase trebble.
I have tried everything I can think of like:
aumix -b----
aumix -b 100
aumix -b100,100P
and so forth.
Also tried these with the save option.
Nothing seems to work.
aumix -b q
gives me 234, 255
no matter what I do.

My hearing is about shot in high frequencies, so I want to see
if more trebble may help me understand speech better.

Using redhat 7.1.
If you can make your bass actually change, please tell me how.

>aumix -b 100

This is the correct syntax. aumix works with percentages, though, so giving it
100 should set the bass to its maximum level. Try using a number less than 100.

>aumix -b q
>gives me 234, 255

This is a very strange result as it's definitely not reporting a percentage.
Perhaps you're using the wrong driver for your soundcard. In any event, I still
suggest first trying a number less than 100, e.g. 50.

I tried using 50 like this:
aumix -b 50 -S -b q
but it still reports 234, 255.

Any more ideas?
