has anyone on this list had success getting books from o wryly the book
publisher sent them proof of being blind and a list of requests and have not
heard anything in seven months?  

Also has anyone got plain text copies of any of the following types of
publications 

learning linux 
learning the bash shell 
or those for dummies books?

Hi.
I have gotten many books from Oreilly.
I didn't get the titles you mentioned, but I have gotten  the following
among others:

algor_c.rawtext.tar.gz
c_core.tgz
html_xhtml.tar.gz
lexyacc.txt.tar.gz
mng_ppp.txt.tar.gz
mre-html.tar.gz
mysql.tar.gz
nag2_txt.tgz

I have also purchases the unix cd, the perl cd, and one other.
