There shoudl be two slackware CDs. A slackware install and a slackware
extra. I have both as well as brltty-enabled boot disks here if you
want to get them via ftp.

G'day,
There is also a third disk (ISO image) which contains the source. This
appears to be only available on ftp.slackware.com though. The mirror
sites I visited didn't have the source.iso file.
Just as an aside... It would be nice if the ISO images could be zipped
so it would reduce the size of the downloads. I've seen this done with
the Solaris 8 ISO images which are on Sun's and AARnet's sites.

David,
Thanks for the offer but I've already downloaded the images. It sure
put a dent in my volume allowance!!! Sigh, I really hate volume
capping...

All distributions already archive the individual packages in
superior archive formats (zip is pretty dated, and M$ specific),
usually *.tgz, *.tar.gz, *.deb, or *.rpm. If the zip archiver
(which is available for linux) is configured properly, it will
not try to compress these archives again, thereby actually
increasing their size a bit. So you would gain little or nothing
by zipping the ISO image, or rest assured, they would already be
shipped (or posted) in this way.

People buy MicroShaft for compatibility, but get incompatibility and
instability instead. This is award winning "innovation". Find
