Is there any good noise reduction programs that don't need x-windows in
linux? Windows stuff is just too expensive. I mean, something that I could
select a sample of noise, and filter a file based upon it. Of course sox
can do so much, but I'm not that good to know what the parameters should be
set to, even say to compress with it. It sounds promising for it's real
time ability, say sox compress </dev/audio >/dev/audio so I can hook
something to line-in to be compressed out in real time.
