I'm having a problem trying to change the speech rate. As far as i can tell from the manual, to change the speech rate in emacspeak, I do ctrl-e d r, then type in a new value. hit enter. and it should change. I type in the new value, hit enter and the rate doesn't change at all. am I missing something obvious here? thanks in advance for any suggestions. Regards Nick
