Hello list,
I am a totally blind individual that just purchased Red Hat Linux version
5.1 on CD. I have read the linux emacspeak howto, and the section that
describes in general the concept of using a windows 95 machine with screen
reading software installed as a terminal on the serial ort of the linux box
to allow a blind user to have speech feedback for the installation process.
My question is: Can I do this type of operation with Red Hat's fancy
graphical installation program? Can I start it on the linux box and
operate it from a terminal on the serial port?
I would appretiate any advice on installation as well. I feel that I could
learn the most from the experience of installing the system myself if at
all possible. That is my primary reason for getting a linux box is to
learn about the system and satisfy my growing fascination with what I have
read about the wonderful linux o s .
Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.
