Hello,

One of my isp's uses pap, which I set up according to the ppp-howto.
Works fine, ever since. Much to my relief, I discovered that one can
have many isp's, with and without pap. Below are my pppd and chat
scripts. My 'pap-secrets' file consists of one line of the form
<client name>	*	<secret>, with the additional items left out.
Maybe you're missing the "wild card" in the "server" field in
'pap-secrets'?
<pppd script for pap isp here>
#!/bin/sh
#script for calling ursa-major.spdcc.com for a ppp session.
/usr/sbin/pppd debug file /etc/ppp/options.spdcc connect "/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/ppp/chat.spdcc" /dev/ttyS1 38400 0.0.0.0: defaultroute crtscts

<end script>

<chat script for same here>

'' AT&F1
OK ATDT2506299
ABORT "NO CARRIER"
TIMEOUT 90
ABORT "BUSY"
ABORT "NO DIALTONE"
CONNECT ""
<end chat script>

<ppp options file for spdcc>
lock
name dhunt
<end>

To preserve secrecy, the 'pap-secrets' file is not included here. See
the ppp-howto for details on this file's contents.
