Subject: A blinux faq
As an alternative to splitting this list, would anyone object to
my composing a faq to possibly be placed at the top level of the
blinux archive? I realize this is an ambitious idea since
the more I dig, the more I find needs researching.
My strategy would use as fodder for the faq questions submitted
to this list.
In order to produce such a document I would need:
1. Advice as to the legal aspects of referencing/commenting
on other people's work/development.
2. An independent review of submissions to the
document for technical accuracy and stylistic sanity.
and
3. Veteran resources to hopefully be used infrequently when I
can't find the definitive answer myself.
My target audience for the faq would be the new user who's
just gotten wind of the blinux project.
Being such a user at this point, my offer has an
ulterior motive in that it will force me to learn in detail the
various issues that have been brought to this list.
If this is a bad idea for any reason, please let me know.
If a faq for this project already exists PLEASE let me know.
Since this post might generate a lot of traffic, please respond to me
privately at one of my addresses below:

or
trainham@onr.com

I won't proceed with this plan until/unless i hear
back from list members as to whether it seems like a good idea.
Thanks,
Brad Trainham
