For those of us who have grown up in the UNIX world,
the various tools to use for reading news, mail, and performing the
various day to day tasks are obvious.
However, to the average blind user who has been restricted to DOS, it
might be useful to be able to look at a document that outlines details
of the computing environments that experienced users employ.
This might be a useful section to have in the access FAQ,
and would serve as a good starting point to introduce the dos-impaired
to the powers and wonders of a real OS.
