I suppose speech-enabling an emacs extension is analogous to writing
JFW scripts for an application. Furthermore, an emacs extension is
like writing scripts for emacs. VM, btw, is an emacs extension; it is
an email client. Consider emacs and extensions to be a kind of "desk
