Ray,
Jaws will report a graphic even if it has no alt tag. It may give the file
name of the graphic. I feel that a blind user should know when graphics are
there, so he does not appear ignorant to a sighted user. Likewise, a blind
user should know about the presence of other visual elements, and a deaf
user should know about sound elements. I don't want to seem like a fool to
my sighted colleagues.
