will mandrake work with screen readers?

I had just gone to the mandrake site.  The site had mentioned that Mandrake
is graphical.  Is this the case?  How will this affect the running of a
screen reader on it?

The following has been taken from the Spirit of Aggieland
Some may boast of prowess bold
of the school they think so grand,

Certainly, it will work. Of course, you will have to stay in text mode in
order to be able to use the screen reader.
