I tried emacs&emacspeak in gnome and had no problem runnig them. As
far as xemacs is concerned, i could not get it to work with emacspeak.

Best regards,

Sergey Fleytin.

T.V. Raman has got sawfish working with emacspeak and either xeamcs or
emacs and the latest version of emacspeak includes that support as well.
It's up to 19.x by now.

Yes, metacity is part of what he brings up too.

What I don't know is what additional access all of this gets anyone using
emacspeak. If I could get that much working on this redhat 8.0 box and
this is assuming the yum script is already installed I'd probably be able
to get bastille-linux working but that's not everyday software.

The reason for me asking was this. I was thinking that if Carpurnicus
crashed then it would be useful to still have some access to the computer
just to shut it down or anything else.

Btw, i thought Basteal was a hardening program?

Thanks,
Nigel

Yes Bastille is a hardening program which makes all of these requirements
on X that much more mysterious.
