Hi,
I am busy downloading the reasently released RedHat 8.0
release. The first iso image is done, so i mounted it and found a file:
README.Accessibility on the disk.
This version of rh is now coming standard with speakup in the kernel and
as before, it includes emacspeak and other accessibility software.
I feel that one as a blind person should send email some whare to thank
the company for providing these things.
Where would be the best place to email them?
regards, Willem

Hi Willem,

While RH has now provided Speakup in their default Kernel, and this
certainly is to be commended, RH is also apparently guilty of some extremely
aggregious behavior in other areas of its business, such as their course
materials and certification examinations. While thanking RH for features
such as Speakup and EmacsSpeak, we need to be pressing for corrections of
some of the behaviors recently explained here on the list. Contacts to
highly-placed people within RedHat would be nice places to send this
information. I'll try and research this if I can find sufficient time.

Thanks.

I think email to psyche-list@redhat.com would work well.

If you don't subscribe it will sit blocked until the list manager deals with
it, and I reckon it's fair to guess he'd allow it.

The list manager is Bill Nottingham, notting@redhat.com and judging from my
past dealings with him he'd be delighted to pass it on.
