Hi!
I am wanting to install Linux on my PC.
I would be new to installing Linux.
How would anyone suggest I back up my system to restore the system should
anything go wrong during installing Linux?
I ask because I am not sure which bits of hardware I might have problems
with.
Also would my authorisation key for JFW be backed up so I could restore it
if anything should go wrong.
Hope someone could answer these questions for me.

Probably the best thing to do would be to back up the important files to
CD's. You can just burn the important stuff or there are also programs
that will allow you to copy your entire hard drive to CD's. As for your
JFW key, you will need to move it to it's original disk before you
install Linux, as Freedom Scientific doesn't like having their JFW keys
copied even during a backup. The key would sease to function if you
simply back it up with the rest of your files.

I just had redhat 9 installed, and am a newbie.
However I was told/advised to do a total machine partition, one side for MSFT
stuff, and one for Linux.
The Jaws key should be removed, so you run as an evaluation copy, until the
dust settles Jaws does not run with Linux. There is an emacspeak that does
talk, but I know not yet how to use it, or get it.
