what irc client do you use?
couldn't help notice your email signature as far as configuring asterisk
with free world dial up have you tried voip-info.org?
if you can't find it on there let me know
I am still trying to get mine up and running.
am running it on a amd 233 box write now am wanting to put cygwhin on my p4
box and run it on there.

two possablities:
a) run through the Asterisk-bridge of FWD see:
http://www.freeworlddialup.com/advanced/iax
b) configure FWD as SIP phone see:
http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm
I find option a the more eligant version.
However, the remaining configuration to be doen on asterisk to get it
really working like you want it, iludes me.
I'ts a bit too massy and their site is not too clear as well.
